Man City moves to semi-final of Carabao Cup

LONDON: Manchester City book their place in the semi-final of Carabao Cup after beating Arsenal with a convincing 1-4 at Emirates last night.

City get an early lead through a headed goal from Gabriel Jesus in the third minute of the game before Alexandre Lacazette levelled the score at minute 33'.

The Gunners were behind again at minute 54' after Riyad Mahrez's free kick strike through the goalkeeper Alex Runarsson hands and find the back of the net.

City's third goal were added by Phil Foden at minute 59' with a quick finish despite a controversial offside suggested by the replay and Aymeric Laporte widen the gap for his team with a header goal at minute 73'.

The Pep Guardiola's squad are now 18 games undefeated in the League Cup with the confidence to win the competition for four consecutive times.
