Scott McTominay celebrate his opening goal versus Leeds United

LONDON: Manchester United leaps to third on the table as they beat Leeds United 6-2 at Old Trafford last night since their last Premier League meeting in 2004.


The host open the game with a goal by Scott McTominay at minute 2' before he double it at minute 3' (a record for a player with the fastest double goals in the Premier League history).


Leeds suffering continues as they are down to 4-0 at minute 37' when Bruno Fernandes and Victor Lindelof shots find the back of Leed's net.


Leeds' captain Liam Cooper response with a powerful low header past De Gea to make it 4-1 before the end of the first half.


Daniel James makes it five for Manchester United at minute 66' before Fernandes added his second goal through a penalty four minutes later.


Defender Stuart Dallas pulled one back for Leeds with a lovely strike from the edge of the box at minute 73' of the game.


Although both teams haven't met since Leeds regelation from the top flight, the two sides have had an historic rivalry.
